Sammy J at the Slovenian Club of Melbourne

Sammy J is an Australian comedian, author, composer and broadcaster. He’s performed around the world, had a sitcom on Netflix, is one half of the man/puppet comedy duo ‘Sammy J & Randy’, hosted the ABC Radio Melbourne breakfast show and created viral satirical sketches and songs on politics, parenting, and everything in between.

On 20 November he gets back to his musical comedy roots in a night of old classics, new gems and future bangers at the Slovenian Club. Sammy J will sing, play, croon, belt, warble, purr, and chirp until you kindly ask him to stop.

Sammy J has won the Best Newcomer award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. His albums have received four ARIA nominations for Best Comedy Release, and he gained a national following with his satirical series Playground Politics. His solo show, Hero Complex, won Best Comedy at the Melbourne Fringe Festival and a Helpmann Award nomination. His weekly satirical sketches on the ABC ran for five years with millions of views online and an AACTA nomination for Best Comedy Program.

Plus, we’ll have a few support acts who can make some noise of their own. It will be a full evening of comedy.
