Sampler Course in Audio Production
Event description
Join us for an immersive one-day workshop on the fundamentals of audio production, designed for students aged 16-18. Whether you're into studio recording or live mixing, this workshop will equip you with essential knowledge and practical skills to kickstart your journey in the audio industry.
This Sampler Course includes:
AP101: PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Exploring industry roles and operations, possible career paths, development opportunities, funding bodies, and distribution platforms.
AP102: STUDIO ESSENTIALS
Students explore studio etiquette, basic recording signal flow, and learn skills for working with artists in a studio environment.
AP103: RECORDING 101
Working with Songwriting students, students will get to record a song in SAE's state-of-the-art studios.
AP104: STAGE
Working with Songwriting students, students learn live sound techniques, and mix a live performance.
CC105: SHOWCASE
Students will put on a mini-festival, share their final exports, and discuss their learning journey.
The workshop will be held on campus at SAE Auckland, using the state-of the-art studio facilities. We are a 5 minute walk from the Parnell train station or there is plenty of street parking that is free on the weekend.
