Event description

Sam Richardson and Scout Hook are multidisciplinary artists living on Wurundjeri land. They share a creative relationship spanning 8 years since they first met studying at the Victorian College of the Arts. Somewhere along the way they fell in love too!

Their music intertwines the intimacy of bedroom pop, the sincerity of folk and the emotional charge of indie rock. Expect soaring vocals, lush harmonies, delicate melodies and dreamy instrumentations that transport you to the ocean.

Last year Sam and Scout adventured along the East Coast of Australia, with their dog Winty and a secondhand Avan in tow. For 4 months they wrote music together, explored beautiful places and followed the whale migration.

We all share a Mother. We can free each other.

SAMSCOUT welcome you for a cosy evening of music and connection on Sunday 6th July 7:30pm, at Northcote Uniting Church Hall.

We are so excited to have our friends and collaborators Lewis Hosie (keys) and Jack Lyall (guitar + vocals) joining us.

We can’t wait to share our music with family, friends and community before we record our debut album later this year!

The mesmerising Jessie Monk will be playing an opening set. An avant-folk musician based between Berlin and Naarm, Jessie weaves new stories with old threads. Jessie recently released Mis O’ The Mountains - a concept album based on the myth of the ancient Celtic goddess Mis.
