San Remo Sea Slug Census
Event description
Join us as we search for sea slugs on the San Remo seashore. This event takes rockpooling to the next level, you will see amazing stuff that will not be Sea Slugs, but because you are searching for Sea Slugs you will begin to notice the smaller critters (hermit crabs, brittle stars, sea spiders etc.) that make staring in rock pools so meditative and fun.
The intertidal area extending north from the San Remo bridge is home to approximately 125 sea slug like creatures formerly known as opistobranchs.
During this event you will learn how to look for slugs, get some tips on photographing them and hopefully find some!
*While we can't guarantee you will find slugs, we hope someone will, maybe us....
This will be a wonderful activity suited to people of all ages. Children under 18 must be accompanied an adult responsible for their supervision.
