Mass of the Sacred Heart (Sancta Sophia College Centenary Mass)
Mass of the Sacred Heart
Members of the Sancta community are warmly invited to join us for a special Mass of the Sacred Heart as we officially commence the celebrations of our Centenary year.
This Mass marks the spiritual beginning of our 100-year celebrations, honouring the faith, courage and vision of the Catholic Sisters of the Sacred Heart who founded Sancta in 1926, and giving thanks for the generations who have walked in wisdom since.
Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Danny Meagher.
Lunch
Following Mass, all guests are invited to a complimentary lunch in the Common Room. To assist with catering, please indicate whether you will be staying for lunch by selecting the relevant ticket type during registration.
RSVP
Due to the space constraints of the Sancta Chapel, attendance at Mass is limited. Please register by Sunday 8 March 2026. We apologise in advance if places are exhausted prior to this date.
Accessibility
The Sancta Chapel is located on Level 1 of the College and is accessible only via two flights of stairs. There is no lift access. Guests are encouraged to consider their accessibility needs when registering. If you would like to discuss specific requirements prior to booking, please contact us.

Continuing the Celebration - Once in a Century Reunion
The Mass of the Sacred Heart marks the official spiritual opening of our Centenary year.
Later that afternoon, Sancta will host the Once in a Century Reunion - a large-scale, festival-style celebration for alumni, students, families and friends, featuring live music, alumni-run market stalls, food and beverages, and the formal launch of our 100-year celebrations.
The Once in a Century Reunion commences at 1pm, when the complimentary lunch for Mass attendees concludes.
Please note:
The Mass and complimentary lunch are separate to the Once in the Century Reunion event.
A ticket is required to attend the Once in a Century Reunion. Tickets are $75 ea.
Reunion tickets are required to access all food, beverages, entertainment and official proceedings associated with that event.
If you wish to continue celebrating with us beyond the complimentary lunch after Mass, we warmly encourage you to secure your Reunion ticket via the dedicated event page.
Learn more about the Once in a Century Reunion here.
The Reunion promises to be one of the most significant gatherings in Sancta’s history, bringing together generations of alumni, families, friends and students as we step into our second century.
