Sanctuary Sounds Music Festival 2025

Sanctuary Sounds is a not-for-profit music festival showcasing an eclectic mix of music from all over New Zealand and abroad. The 3 day festival is a true grassroots experience, held on a rural property in Takapau, Central Hawkes Bay, where you will find yourself immersed in music, art, food and friendship!

This year at Sanctuary Sounds, we're blasting off into the retro-futuristic world of vintage sci-fi! Inspired by the cosmic absurdity of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the golden age of space-age imagination, we invite you to hitch a ride on the galactic highway and journey to a world where tin-foil dreams meet analog alien adventures. Expect curious creatures, out-of-this-world costumes, and a soundtrack to shake the stars. Don’t forget your towel — it’s going to be an interstellar ride!
