Healing ragas on 100 Strings - Santoor recital by Vinay Desai ( USA)

This is a rare musical experience not to be missed. Spend an enchanting evening immersed in melodious Indian classical ragas, brought to life on the Santoor—a shimmering 100-string instrument seldom heard live in Australia.

We are honoured to host Vinay Desai, visiting from the USA, who received guidance from the legendary Padma Bhushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, the pioneer who introduced the Santoor to the global stage. Each note unfolds like flowing water, creating a soundscape that is both powerful and deeply meditative.

Indian classical ragas are revered for their healing and transformative effects, traditionally performed to calm the mind, balance emotions, and elevate inner awareness. This concert is more than music—it’s an experience of resonance, stillness, and soulful connection.

A once-in-a-while opportunity to witness a master, a rare instrument, and music that truly heals.
