Sapling School - Poorneet Season
Event description
Presented by Convent Kids
Join us for an outdoor expedition led by Play Specialist Catherine Sewell this Poorneet Season!
Through singing, storytelling and hands-on activities, children will learn about Poorneet (Tadpole) Season in the Kulin Nation’s calendar.
Tailored for children aged 3-5 years old, Sapling School is designed to introduce the principles of sustainability and permaculture to children at a young age. Join us for the opportunity to explore environmentally- conscious habits, and connection to the community and land at our inner-city oasis, bounded by the Birrarung (Yarra River).
Please be aware egg cartons are used.
Sapling School is developed in consultation with the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, through the development of the workshop content, Woi Wurrung language and educational resource material.
