⏰ Doors 6:30 PM | Screening 7:00 PM

The Black Ferns’ first knockout match of the Rugby Women’s World Cup kicks off live at midnight this Saturday — but instead of pulling an all-nighter, we’re gathering the next evening for a Sapphic/Queer watch party to celebrate, connect, and back our girls as they face the Springboks in the quarter finals!
Bring your mates, or make some at the bar. 🏳️🌈✨ LGBTQ+ folks and allies are all welcome for a night of sport, community, and HUGE Ferns energy 💅
Here’s what’s on:
Doors open 6:30 PM | Screening starts 7:00 PM (don't be late & come early to grab a good spot!)
Private venue, big screens & a projector for the best view in the house
Full bar + kitchen to keep you fuelled
Pool table, vibes, and space to connect
Special guest + Giveaways to keep the energy high
Whether you’re a die-hard rugby fan or just here for the vibes, this is the place to cheer, chant, and celebrate together.
This is a free community event, open to sapphics, queers, allies, and rugby fans alike. While there’s no ticket required, there will be the option to support Women in Sport Aotearoa with a donation, helping to back and empower women in sport across Aotearoa.
At Sapphic events, we celebrate the full diversity of our community including sapphic, trans, non-binary, and genderqueer individuals. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a safe and inclusive environment. Allies are warmly invited, and we ask that you be mindful and respectful of the space we have created for our community.
