Sarah Mary Chadwick Trio

Messages To God - Unadorned

Sarah Mary Chadwick plays the songs of her acclaimed 2023 release ‘Messages To God’ on Kill Rock Stars to celebrate the release of an ‘unadorned’ collection of record highlights, recorded at The Frying Pan Studios MONA by Chris Townend, and filmed by Geoffrey O’Connor.

Performing at Eastmint with Hank Clifton-Williamson (Mystery Shopper) and Isobel D’Cruz (Hantu), the material is reimagined and rearranged as a trio, in the final iteration of these messages straight to the lord.

Grand Salvo

Grand Salvo's music can sometimes be upbeat and momentarily raucous, but is more often quiet, mournful and sparse, exploring loss, death, decay and transformation. This iteration of the ensemble includes Lisa Salvo, Lehmann B Smith and Genevieve Fry

April Guest

April Guest is a Naarm based vocalist, beatboxer and composer. Her work focused on pushing the sonic capabilities of the human voice both biologically and technologically, as well as exploring how these two aspects intertwine to create meaning. Her live looping, ambient performances feature extended vocal and beatbox techniques to create deep, expansive drones and intricate percussive layers. She uses her raw voice as a foundation, combining it with technology to further explore our bodies’ timbral possibilities.

ACCESSIBILITY

Eastmint is accessible via wheelchair through the non main entrance, there is a small sliding door frame that we can place a ramp over the top of. Please get in touch if you require this option via email eastmintrecords@gmail.com. We regret we are unable to provide accessible toilet facilities at this time, although there is wheelchair access to the hand washing sink which is a private space. Closest accessible toilets located at the Peacock Hotel 150m away. There are no windows that are openable in the space but we will open the double doors between sets for airflow. The space is quite cavernous with high ceilings and is an un-renovated warehouse so not tightly sealed. We use a HEPA filter rated for 50m2 but the space is closer to 100m2. Please contact eastmintrecords@gmail.com if you require any other info.
