As part of the ACTIVE FEST 2023, Roundabout Circus brings to the community a series of free events that will allow you, your kids, friends, and family to practice circus skills and learn from experienced teachers and enjoy creative play together. We practice all flow toys, juggling, hula hoop, acro and unicycling. Our Active Fest events will include 3x SPIRAL Coast at Gosford, 3x Make your own equipment and Aerial workshops at Wyoming plus partnerships with Sunset sessions Woy Woy, 5 lands Winter Festival at Terrigal and Active Fest event at The Entrance.

We will making our Sunday Aerial Social Sessions (SASS) FREE for teens and adults thanks to the funding from Office of Sport NSW. You will also have a chance to make your own circus equipment to take home and keep playing.

June 11th - DIY Juggling balls with Will be Jugglin
July 9th - DIY Hula Hoops with Hoop Pursuits
August 6th - DIY Poi with Raymond 

There will be maximum 20 spots in these DIY workshops where you can make and decorate equipment to keep. The workshops will run for an hour.

Kids

All Ages - Kids & Adults

Teen & Adult
3-4:30pm Teen & Adult Aerial Social session (min 13+)
5-6pm Juggling workshop beginner-advanced options

Spaces are limited so we encourage you to sign up in advance so you don't miss out. If spaces are available then we will take extra people on the day. 

Aerial Session Information:

The participants will be separated into beginners and intermediate level and can choose 2 apparatus to try from trapeze, lyra and silks with approximately 30mins on each. The workshop is run with a ratio of 3-4 people per peice of equipment. This is why it is social. You can rest, watch, chat and stretch between turns.

WHAT TO WEAR - Clothing must not have any zippers or metal buttons.  If you are not wearing appropriate clothing you may be declined to participate due to the risk of damage to the equipment. Shirts should cover armpits and lower back and pants or leggings should be at least knee length. For safety reasons, hair should be tied up. All participants must remove any jewellery and watches that could damage the equipment.   

All participants must do the warm up as instructed by Roundabout Circus staff as part of the workshop prior to inverting on the aerial equipment. All participants will be required to sign a waiver form prior to joining the workshop. Please be aware that all circus and aerial activities can be physically intensive and there is inherent risk including injury or death which may result from untertaking these activities. By booking the aerial workshop you are acknowledging there are risks involved in the activity and that the participant is physically capable of undertaking the tasks. No prior experience or fitness level is required and tasks can be adapted for different abilities or done without inversion where required. If there are any prior injuries or physical limitations to participation, these must be communicated with the instructor.
