About the Class:

We start with the simple and powerful practice of OM chanting. We start chanting aloud, then move to a whisper and then chant silently. This draws the mind inward to the state of pratyahara - sense withdrawal.

Next-Chant the mahamritanjaya (yogic healing mantra) 108 times with the intention of healing for yourself and others at the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. The chant will take you into a deep meditative state of consciousness and have a positive effect on wellbeing. You'll be buzzing by the end of this practice, and it's such a beautiful experience to simply sit in meditation and experience the vibrational effect in the body and the peaceful stillness of the mind.

The mantras will be in Sanskrit, an ancient language known for it’s vibrational quality. A mantra is a mathematical formula of vibration and syllable that produces a desired effect. These mantras bring about an expansion in our consciousness that dissolves feelings of separation and deepens feeling of connection and universal love. A more peaceful, harmonious state of mind ensues.
