South Australian Premiere

Presented by 100% First Nations-owned Wirra Distribution, this special South Australian premiere of SATU: Year of the Rabbit invites audiences to experience an inspiring evening of independent cinema.

To celebrate its selection by the PADI Film Festival, the acclaimed feature SATU: Year of the Rabbit will make its SA premiere at the historic Odeon Star Cinemas in Semaphore. This screening brings together filmmakers, audiences, and community members to honour meaningful storytelling and authentic representation on screen.

SATU: Year of the Rabbit follows a young Laotian orphan and a photojournalist on a transformative journey through post-war Laos. With evocative 16mm cinematography and deeply human themes, the film has earned recognition across the international festival circuit.

Wirra Distribution gratefully acknowledges the PADI Film Festival for its selection and looks forward to celebrating storytelling from across the Asia-Pacific region.
