Saturday Create: Biology (Ages 5-7)

Discover science and technology through hands-on crafts together as a family — every second Saturday!

Saturday Create is a free family program offering hands-on activities with robots, circuits, 3D printing, coding, science experiments, and much more! These sessions are perfect for young minds and budding creators, and encourage practical, playful learning.

Designed for one child working alongside a parent, guardian, or grandparent, Saturday Create supports STEM learning through creativity, exploration, and shared discovery.

🫁💨On Saturday, 10 and 24 October, take part in an interactive biology session where you’ll build a working bottle lung model and explore how air pressure and the respiratory system allow us to breathe.

This activity is suitable for families with children aged 5–7 years. We design the learning experience of our workshops very carefully – it is important for the enjoyment and safety of all participants that your child is within the age range, otherwise, they will not be permitted into the event.

• An adult must accompany each child during the session.

• Photos and video may be taken during the event and shared across the library's and Council's communication channels (including but not limited to social media and eNewsletters). Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
