Saturday Night Poetry
Event description
Turtlenecks, trashfires and ten troubadors
Vanguard Consort's first concert of 2022 is a mix of poetry and choral wizardy. A concert of vivid verses with just a dash of vibrato - Vanguard Consort presents a poetry slam with a twist.Â
Our team of ten will serenade you with settings of some of our favourite texts, interwoven with (possibly) trochaic treats from Australian Instagram poet Trashfire Poetry.
Saturday Night Poetry will feature two world premieres. A new composition by Lydia Gardiner commissioned by The Choral Collective for Vanguard Consort and an arrangement by Stefan Pugliese.
