On Tuesday 17th June at The Royal Oak, Balmain, join Saul Griffith in conversation with Fran Kelly for Griffith's latest book, Plug In! The Electrification Handbook, published by Black Inc Books.

Copies of Plug In! The Electrification Handbook will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Griffith signing copies after the discussion.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7.15pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot. Why not make a full evening of it, too, by ordering a meal at the Royal Oak before or after the event? One of Balmain's oldest and most loved pubs, it serves a delicious range of food and beverages.

ABOUT SAUL GRIFFITH

Saul Griffith is an engineer and inventor. He has been principal investigator on projects for NASA, the US National Science Foundation and US Special Operations Command. He was awarded the MacArthur ‘Genius Grant' in 2007. He is the founder of Rewiring America and Rewiring Australia and author of Electrify, The Big Switch and The Wires That Bind. His forthcoming book is Plug In!

ABOUT FRAN KELLY

She has held positions including chief political correspondent for the AM and PM programs, political editor of the 7.30 Report and ABC Europe correspondent based in London. In 2005, she became host of Radio National's agenda-setting Breakfast program, a seat she filled until 2021. She then took on a new role hosting her own talk show 'Frankly', talking to some of Australia's biggest names and brains. Fran also created and co-presents The Party Room podcast with Patricia Karvelas, and presents Saturday Extra on ABC Radio National.

Over her career, Fran interviewed twelve former and sitting Prime Ministers, one US President, one British Prime Minister and other world leaders and thinkers. She's covered eleven elections and one Olympics and is a big Sydney Swans fan!
