Sauna and Plunge: Individual and Full Tent Tickets

It’s a rite of passage and much-loved tradition for workers in Antarctica to take the Polar Plunge (watch a great video about it here). Of course, it doesn’t hurt if you’ve got a sauna on hand to run straight into after emerging from the icy waters. Join us at Hobartica to enjoy a series of cold plunges, set at a range of “colds” from positively Antarctic to balmy 2050 predicted sea water temperatures. Then warm up in steamy, wood-fired tent saunas designed by local Finnish artist Nanna Bayer and crafted by Tassie artisans. Along the journey, you’ll learn about Finnish sauna culture (from real Finnish people!), benefits of cold water immersion, and have the chance to earn an Antarctic Ice Plunge badge. Book an entire tent sauna, or an individual spot. Each booking gets you 55 minutes in the saunas and plunge pools, then an hour in our reserved seating area in the McHenry Distillery Antarctic Lounge and Observatory.
We are offering tickets for individual spots in a tent sauna (with up to six other people aka your new best sauna friends). Or we have a limited number of full tents available that you can book for up to 7 people. If you would like to book an entire tent but don't see one available on the day or time you were hoping, please contact us at hello@beakerstreet.com.au and we will see if we can make some sauna time magic happen.
Please note: Cold water immersion is not recommended for people with heart or circulatory conditions. If you have any concerns about exposure to cold water or saunas based on your individual conditions or medications, always check with your doctor first.
