Sauna by Lagom Bower

Unwind, relax and recover at "Sauna by Lagom Bower," a traditional Norwegian-style sauna, set amongst gardens in the rural township of Dungog, NSW.

Traditional sauna is a communal experience, an opportunity to relax with friends, embraced in the gentle warmth created by the sauna stove. The benefits include increased circulation, "good" sweating / detoxification, relaxation, pain reduction and improved immune function. You will leave the sauna feeling refreshed and deeply rejuvenated - mind, body and soul.

Sauna sessions at Lagom Bower include:

• welcome and guiding by our onsite sauna custodian
• a safe place to set down your belongings
• comfortable slides to wear on your feet when outside of the sauna
• cool filtered water to rehydrate with throughout your session
• a post-sauna rinse-off in the outdoor garden shower

Lille (30 minutes): 

The Lille (little) sauna is ideal for those with a busy schedule seeking a quick yet revitalizing escape. This session includes access to our traditional Norwegian sauna, providing relaxation, recovery and stress relief in just half an hour. Perfect for anyone needing a short, energizing break to refresh body and mind. 

Flott (60 minutes): 

The Flott (great) sauna is designed for individuals looking to fully unwind and reset. This hour-long session allows you to bask in the warmth of the sauna at a relaxed pace. Experience the rejuvenating benefits of enhanced circulation, muscle relaxation, and mental clarity. Ideal for those seeking a balanced moment of peace between commitments.

Vårrens (120 minutes)

The Vårrens (Spring Cleanse) sauna is perfect for clients seeking a more immersive wellness experience. The 2-hour sauna offers time for deep relaxation, detoxification and recovery. This extended session is perfect for individuals wanting to de-stress or enjoy a peaceful retreat at their own pace. Includes: 

• 90 minutes sauna time
• Marimekko bench towel and bath towel to use during your visit
• Choice of oil to scent the steam during your sauna
• Phyto massage with a native plant whisk to stimulate lymphatic flow / detox
• Post-sauna body scrub (self-applied) to exfoliate and moisturise skin
• 30 minutes recovery time, cooling down outside in our garden
• A refreshing drink of your choice from our menu

Brudekrans (180 minutes)

The Brudekans (Bridal Wreath) sauna is specially curated for brides and friends seeking a deeply meaningful bachelorette celebration that blends the best of wellness, nature, and symbolic ritual to honour this transition. The journey begins with a 2-hour traditional Norwegian sauna, featuring the elements of our Vårrens (Spring Cleanse) experience. You'll then weave a beautiful brudekrans (bridal wreath) from fresh flowers, before finishing with a peaceful 1-hour riverside picnic to cool down and relax. Ritualistic elements symbolic of emotional / spiritual cleansing will be integrated throughout to create a unique, meaningful bachelorette experience.

To prepare for all sessions:

• Shower & toilet at home beforehand
• Remove jewellery & makeup
• Put on your swimsuit / bathers
• Wear a bathrobe or comfortable clothing over the top of your bathers

What to bring:

• Two (2) bath towels (one to sit on inside the sauna and one to dry off with after your shower)
