Sauna Science + Master Training — San Francisco
Event description
Have you ever wondered...
• What physiological shifts occur when the body is exposed to extreme heat?
• What makes a person sweat and how does the body use electrolytes?
• What is the healthiest position to sit in a sauna?
• Are my Aufguss sessions releasing formaldehyde?
We’re excited to invite you to the first-ever Sauna Science + Master Training in the US, presented in partnership with the Deutsche Sauna Akademie. Previously available only in German, this elite training is now accessible to American participants for the first time. It is ideal for health professionals, trainers, sauna operators, and enthusiasts.
Instructor Nate Daubert is the first American to earn full certification from the Deutsche Sauna Akademie. With a background in German studies, design, data science – and having toured over 80 spas worldwide – he brings a unique blend of global insight and technical knowledge to the American sauna culture.
Dr. Karsten Gröning, director of the Deutsche Sauna Akademie, will be present to showcase his recently translated sauna master training book that the curriculum is based on. He has been a leading voice in European sauna education for over 20 years. His method blends tradition with scientific rigor, empowering professionals to deliver safer, evidence-based sauna experiences.
We are offering two versions of the course:
1. A 2-day lecture series on Sauna Science that includes a ~600 page textbook
2. A 4-day Sauna Science + Master Training includes textbook and Aufguss towel.
Participants must be at least 18 years old
