Event description

Date: August 25

Time: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 pm.

Location: Maclay Flat Nature Trail

COST: $5 MNHC members/$10 non-members.

Bring your curiosity and your own naturalist knowledge and join MNHC Naturalist Ser Anderson on a naturalist saunter. We will focus on exploring the changing seasons, making observations, following our curiosity, and learning from each other. Whether you are an experienced naturalist or just starting out, this walk is for you! Everyone has something to learn and knowledge to share.

Location Info: The Maclay Flat Nature Trail is located in a ponderosa pine stand along the Bitterroot River.  The combination of forest and riparian habitat makes it a great place for bird watching.  The gravel trail is almost entirely flat and broad enough to accommodate strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs.

Directions: Take Brooks Street/US 12 W/US 93 south out of Missoula.  Turn right onto Blue Mountain Road and follow the windy road just under 2 miles to the Maclay Flat parking area, which will be on your right.

Group size is capped at 10 people.

Registration is required.
