Savannah Jazz and Hindsight Film Festival are proud to present a free screening of The Disappearance of Miss Scott, a PBS American Masters documentary. The film celebrates jazz virtuoso and screen icon Hazel Scott—the first Black American to host her own national television show. A trailblazing artist and early civil rights advocate, Scott boldly confronted the Red Scare at great personal risk and used her platform to champion equality.

Join us Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Savannah History Museum, located at 303 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Savannah, GA.

2-3 pm - FREE: Self-guided tour through the Savannah Jazz Hall of Fame exhibit

While admission is free, we’re asking attendees to make a $10 donation to support Savannah Jazz.
