Beneath the Canopy – Save Dalgarup Forest Walk
Description
Join the Save Dalgarup team and Jess Beckerling MLC for a morning beneath the canopy of Dalgarup Forest – and learn about the proposed nature reserve.
We'll set off together and walk from Karri Gully to Gregory Brook campsite (4km). There we'll stop for morning tea and hear about the mining threat to this magnificent forest and plans for its protection.
After morning tea, choose your own way back to Karri Gully:
12km walk – the long way
4km out + 8km loop back to Karri Gully
Discover long-lost tracks, logging remnants of a bygone era, mighty trees and a rich forest ecosystem.
Be prepared for undulating terrain – some tracks are rough and a bit overgrown.
Expected finish: around 2pm
8km walk – the gentle way
4km out + 4km loop back to Karri Gully
An easy downhill walk back surrounded by forest.
Expected finish: around 12.30pm
