Michelle Mitchell

Grounded in research, this presentation unpacks the science of building confidence and the realities of what happens when it wobbles. Michelle will move beyond quick fixes to offer meaningful strategies that help kids and teens develop a strong sense of self, learn from mistakes and grow through interacting with relationships they are surrounded by.

Together we will explore:

The development of self-esteem from childhood through to adolescence
Why a realistic self-view is more powerful than a purely positive one
Common pitfalls of traditional self-esteem boosting techniques
The impact of social comparison, technology, and external feedback
How to deliver feedback that fosters a growth mindset
How to safeguard confidence when children fail or feel inadequate
