Scarborough Art Show Opening Night
Event description
Scarborough Art Show Opening Night is the perfect opportunity to view the exhibition and have the very first pick of the artworks, meet the artists and enjoy a range of delicious canapés, wine, beer and live music.
Opening Night will feature Freyja Garbett, Lucy Clifford Jodie Michael Trio: AKA ‘Pa-Paw’
Freyja (piano), Lucy (bass), and Jodie (drums) first crossed paths at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, where they shared a passion for jazz and contemporary music, leading them to form their trio ‘Pa-Paw’. All three went on to study at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Whilst living and working in Boston and New York City, they immersed themselves in the diverse music scenes these cities have to offer. As a group, they enjoy exploring an eclectic array of genres including jazz, hip-hop, reggae, funk and soul; a reflection of their travels and diverse musical experiences.
Currently, in Australia, they continue to make significant contributions to the music scene. Freyja performs regularly with Ian Moss, Lucy with Kate Cebrano, and all three have joined forces with Katie Noonan, among other great Aussie artists. While the three members of ‘Pa-Paw’ are residing in the Illawarra, they enjoy performing and exploring together, much like they did during their high school years.
Don't miss this extraordinary performance and getting the first look at the art show!
