Scarborough Art Show Opening night is the perfect opportunity to view the exhibition and have the very first pick of the artworks, Meet the artists and enjoy a range of delicious canapés, wine, beer and live music, all while raising funds for Scarborough public school.

Now in its 28th year, the Scarborough Art Show has developed a reputation for its high quality, breadth, local atmosphere and affordability. Renowned painters, printmakers, photographers and sculptors join with jewelers, ceramicists and craftspeople, from Sydney, the South Coast and the Southern Highlands to create a vibrant and varied exhibition.

Opening night is a meeting of art, music and community, culture. This year's event will feature The Sophia Rose Quartet is a Sydney-based group delivering a refreshing blend of cool melodies and improvisations.

The quartet features Sydney Conservatorium of Music Jazz musicians and graduates. Run by Sophia on trumpet, the quartet features Harrison Whalan on bass, Michael Van Lieshout on guitar and Nate Griffin on drums, each bringing their unique influences and backgrounds to the group. Presenting modern grooves that blend classic jazz and funk, Sophia’s group creates a captivating listening experience.

Sophia Hunt is a proud Wiradjuri and Barkindji woman raised on Dharawal country, where her love of music was fostered at the Wollongong High School of Performing Arts and Wollongong Conservatorium.

Tickets are strictly limited and can only be purchased online through Humanitix. Due to the popularity of this event, tickets will not be for sale at the door. 18+ event.
