SCATTERED ORDER - ALBUM LAUNCH
Event description
Scattered Order
Post/industrialists Scattered Order launch their new album “Where is the windy gun?” in Melbourne at Mamma Chen’s. Now in their 5th decade Mitchell Jones, Michael Tee and Shane Fahey with their assembled collection of eccentric sound tools have fermented another set of dangerous sonic gases: sometimes absurdly pleasant, sometimes scarily abrasive, always multi- layered and certainly hurtling towards a blissful destination.
LIVING SCIENCE Dept has done live video projections for all Scattered Order’s shows since 2010. Their mind warping psychedelia has transformed live performances of the band into a complete audio visual experience that gives a bizarre and multi-dimensional persona to the music.
Hearts and Rockets
Hearts and Rockets is a Naarm-based bratwave duo known for their tongue-in-cheek and not-so-subtle stabs at society, and their cheeky pop culture references. With their trademark delay-laden vocals, driving bass lines, post-punk guitar and poppy synth all present, their new tracks sound crisp, nostalgic and fresh all at once.
USER
An electronic post punk odyssey featuring the uber talented Lisa Gibbs (The Moth Body Duo/The Same Same/Greenhouse), Frank Galgano (The Lamp), Daryl Bradie (Gersey/Walkerville) and Andrew Nunns (TBHDCult). Think of Trent Reznor whipping Portishead in The Red Room.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
