Event description

Warby Range Landcare Group (WRLG) is pleased to bring you a workshop delivered by Landcare Project Officer, Sally Day and Ji Atkinson from the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Education (ACHE).

The cultural significance of local trees will be highlighted and Ji will provide you with a greater understanding of indigenous culture, values, and land management techniques.

Sally has extensive experience protecting old paddock trees and successfully establishing new trees with many landowners in the local area.

The workshop will facilitate a discussion around the value of paddock trees in our landscape and factors that can lead to a decline in their health and condition. Sally will also discuss the various styles of wire tree guards that can be used to plant new paddock trees and the pros and cons of each type and applicability to your farming needs.

WRLG is able to offer members an opportunity to trial these large mesh tree guards (valued at $65 each). Interested? Please talk to us at the Workshop.
