School Re-engagement specialist, Parent Advocate, and Trainer.

Richard has worked as a teacher for over 20 years, focusing on children who have disengaged from their learning.

Richard’s interest in working with children struggling with the standard schooling system started when he first worked in a Pupil’s Referral Unit in London.

He saw first hand the challenges students can face in school, the distractions that can overwhelm them, and the difficulties families have in advocating for their child as well as looking after their own well being.

Since then, his career has constantly grown and he has worked way through being a classroom teacher for both mainstream and special schools, to being in Principal class for a school for Autism, and a manager in the school improvement division for the department of education.

He knows what works in education, has been a school leader for over 14 years and has a solid understanding of how schools work.

He is passionate about ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn, particularly those who have disengaged and those who are neurodivergent. Richard is a scholarship graduate from Melbourne University with a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and has worked with some of the most influential names in education.

He brings expertise in:

Educational leadership
Being inclusive of students who are Neurodivergent
Student re-engagement strategies
