Nature Photo Hanger & Pressed Flower Lanterns

For children aged 18 months–6 years

At every Mothers Many session, children create something special to take home — something that encourages a connection to nature and sparks wonder and curiosity about the world around them.

At this session, little hands will turn nature's treasures into something beautiful to keep. Children will create their own nature photo hanger, a special place to display photographs alongside shells, rocks & seed pods. They'll also use pressed flowers to decorate a beautiful jar lantern, bringing a little piece of nature home with them.

Alongside our nature creations, children can enjoy our usual sensory and messy play experiences, with plenty of time for open-ended exploration, creativity and play.

All sessions are thoughtfully facilitated by a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teacher and mother of three.

What to Bring

• Sunscreen and a hat

• Water bottle, snacks and a picnic blanket

• Insect repellent

• A spare set of clothes and towel for messy play (optional)

• Raincoat and gumboots for rainy days (optional)

Location

Sessions are held at the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.

In fine weather, we gather beneath the jacaranda tree at the bottom of the hill behind the rotunda, near Fairymead House. There is plenty of parking available throughout the gardens.

In rainy or particularly hot weather, we'll gather under and around the rotunda.

Little Siblings Welcome

Younger siblings under 18 months are very welcome to join us at no additional cost — simply include their name and age when booking.

Our usual sensory and messy play experiences will be available alongside the day's nature creations, giving little siblings plenty of opportunities to explore too.

1. Cancellations, Refunds & Weather

If a session is cancelled by Mothers Many due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or unsafe weather conditions, you will receive a full refund of the ticket price.

Sessions will proceed in most weather conditions. Light rain or heat does not automatically result in cancellation. In these cases, sessions will be relocated to the rotunda near Fairymead House to provide shade and shelter. If conditions are deemed unsafe (such as extreme weather), the session will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.

Refunds are not available for:

-No-shows

-Late arrivals

-Choosing not to attend due to weather when the session is still running.

If you know in advance that you will be unable to attend, we require at least 24 hours’ notice to process a refund.

2. Late Arrivals

Sessions run for the full scheduled time regardless of arrival time. Late arrival does not entitle attendees to extended time, refunds, credits, or compensation for any portion of the session missed.

3. Photography & Social Media

Mothers Many may take photographs during sessions for use on social media and promotional materials. Images will not include faces or identifiable features and will generally focus on hands, materials, or play moments.

Parents and carers may take photos or videos of their own child only during sessions. We ask all families to respect the privacy and safety of others when capturing or sharing images.

Mothers Many is not responsible for any photos or videos taken or shared by attendees.

4. Supervision & Safety

Children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times. Children are not to be left unattended. Parents and carers are solely responsible for their child’s supervision, behaviour, and safety during sessions.

Nature and messy play may involve loose parts, water play, uneven ground, sticks, rocks, and tactile materials. All activities and materials are intended to be used under continuous adult supervision. All sensory materials provided are non-toxic but are not intended for consumption.

Parents and carers must ensure children do not ingest any materials. If your child has allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions, please notify Mothers Many prior to attending so that reasonable adjustments can be considered.
