This workshop draws its inspiration from batik works in the Three Echoes – Western Desert Art exhibition in the Bennett Gallery. After viewing the exhibition, the kids will create batik-like artwork by using wax crayons on paper, scrunching up the drawing, carefully flattening it and finishing it with a dark coloured ink wash. The results are surprising!
