    Event description

Fuse the past and present through music and art at Dance with Paint: Intergenerational, an exciting and unique all ages and stages art holiday workshop.

Bring your grandparents and use music to unlock the magic of their past to inform the creation of a unique work of art to take home.

This 90 minute workshop will begin with a brief, age appropriate history of abstract expressionism  and impressionist art, focussing on individuality and expressing different personal opinions about visual art.

In Dance with Paint: Intergenerational, you will be given the opportunity to contribute to a group mix tape of music from the past and present.

This mix tape of music will be used to supercharge each others creativity by listening and describing the emotions that the music stirs and how they might paint these through colours and shapes.

Our facilitator, professional opera singer and arts facilitator Ben Segal, will then guide all participants to create a 3D personalised artwork through different mediums and styles inspired by the moods of the different musical styles.

This all-inclusive, friendly, and social workshop combines art, music, mental health and well-being and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

All materials are provided and participants will be able to take home their completed artworks.
