School Holiday Workshop: It's Zine Time!
Event description
Do you have a kid with a mind of their own? Empower them to share their unique voice with the world this October school holidays with our ‘Zine Time’ workshop.Â
Zines (DIY magazines) are a quick, cheap and creative way to get ideas out of your head and into the world, and anyone can make one!Â
In this fun and friendly workshop, renowned comic artist and published illustrator Leigh Rigozzi will teach participants how to create a small instant zine from start to print and help them to develop and express their ideas in a format that truly reflects their individuality.Â
From experimenting with illustrations, designs, mixed media techniques and written expression, to learning the basics of layout design and the satisfying folding of the final product, this hands-on workshop will foster a real sense of creative independency and accomplishment.Â
Whether your kid is a doodler, a wordsmith, a budding entrepreneur, or the next Greta Thunberg, It’s Zine Time will teach them to brainstorm, outline, and publish their ideas and get them out of their heads and into the world.Â
