School Holiday Workshop: Paste-ups with Baby Guerrilla
Event description
Thursday 17 April, 10AM-12PM
Explore the world of drawing, painting, collage and creativity with a workshop hosted by Baby Guerrilla. Create your own paste-up and have your questions about mural making answered. Participants will learn how to turn their drawings into paste-ups with the guidance of experienced street artist, Baby Guerrilla, during her exhibition in the Bennett Gallery, Dancing with Gravity.
About the artist: Baby Guerrilla is an artist, based in Naarm/Melbourne, interested in approaching space and perspective in new and innovative ways inside and outside a gallery or traditional art space. After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne in 2002, Baby Guerrilla says she was all set for life as a painter. Street art began as a hobby on the side that then seemed to take on a life of its own and grew. She sees the two mediums as complimentary and the possibilities for her works as infinite. For her, drawings and paintings on walls are a beautiful challenge of space and constraints, where she can defy and dance with gravity.
