Spark curiosity and ignite a passion for technology, programming, and creative expression with this exciting introduction to programming and interactivity.
No matter if it's their first time tinkering with code or they're already a fully-fledged computer wizard, this session will provide the participants with the opportunity to get creative, clever and code literate.
👾💻🎮This introductory session will get your children started in making their own interactive stories and games using the child friendly, free programming language Scratch Jr. Through playful activities and experimentation, participants will discover how to make characters move, jump, talk and respond to their instructions while building confidence with technology and problem-solving.
Important to know:
This event is for children aged 5–7 only. Participants who are not within this age range will not be permitted into the event.
Photos and video may be taken during the event and shared across the library's and Council's communication channels (including but not limited to social media and eNewsletters). Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
