About the Artist

Shannon Syme

Shannon is an artist living and making in Naarm, on the unceded land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. They completed their honours year in Visual art at VCA in 2023. She works as a tattoo artist currently. Shannon’s practice is rooted in their lifelong love of drawing, which branches out into various media with sculptural elements acting as ‘drawings in space’. They are interested in translating ‘reality in relation’ through formal elements like colour, line and form.
