FREE WORKSHOP

Join us for a visual poetry workshop with artist Liv Moriarty - Poetry as artwork and art as poetry.

Through walking, looking, conversing and breaking down meaning, we will churn out poems across a series of exercises – exploring diagramming, observation, relationality and alternate ways to convey information. We will explore what poetry can look like by considering the poetic potential of a variety of visual forms.

Liv will provide materials, theory, structure and inspiration, but you are also welcome to bring your own to share and use.

Please feel free to bring your own laptop in case you’d like to work on something digital.

Location: Trocadero Projects, Level 1, 40 Leeds Street, Footscray VIC 3011.

Accessibility: Trocadero Projects is wheelchair accessible, including ambulant bathroom facilities.

Parking is available in central Footscray and the Little Saigon Plaza Car Park. Please ensure you review the signs before parking.

About the Artist

Liv Moriarty is an artist and poet working in Naarm, their work consists of diagrams, writing, drawing and thinking through ways meaning and feeling can be conveyed. Moriarty uses relationality and intermediation to dig into ideas, write poems and make art (usually simultaneously).
