Event description
Advocating for your child at school can be tough, even when you’re doing your best.
This interactive workshop offers practical strategies and clear frameworks for families just getting started and new ideas to help those already advocating feel more confident and supported.
Together we’ll explore
Practical communication strategies and techniques
Tips to help you get the most out of meetings
Focusing on what’s most important, without getting caught up in conflict
Ways to get back on track when things aren’t working
What to do and where to go for help when everyday advocacy isn’t enough
Who this event is for
Our workshops are for parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay, autism, rare or genetic conditions, and medical needs
If you're facing serious conflict with your child’s school, it may be more helpful to engage with a professional advocate.
