Schoolies: A Special Evening with DrinkWise, Smartraveller and Red Frogs
Description
Mentone Girls’ Grammar invites Year 11 and Year 12 students and their parents and guardians to a special evening organised by DrinkWise in conjunction with Smartraveller, Red Frogs and Mentone Girls’ Grammar.
Designed to start important conversations between young people and their families ahead of Schoolies, the evening will provide practical, non-judgemental advice on:
staying safe in Australia and overseas
understanding the risks associated with alcohol
how to reduce harm (if they choose to drink)
looking out for friends
knowing where to get help if something goes wrong.
Mark and Michelle Jones, parents of our cherished alumna Bianca Jones (Class of 2023), will return to Bianca’s former school to share their story and the conversations they believe every family should have before Schoolies.
We are also privileged that the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon Penny Wong, will attend, alongside representatives from DrinkWise, Smartraveller and Red Frogs.
Important: Filming, Photography and External Media
This event forms part of DrinkWise’s national Schoolies campaign. Filming and photography will take place throughout the evening.
DrinkWise and its representatives will capture footage and photography for use and distribution across DrinkWise and partner channels. External media organisations will also be invited to attend and may independently film, photograph and interview attendees.
DrinkWise, its campaign partners and attending media organisations are third parties independent of Mentone Girls’ Grammar. Once footage or images have been captured by these third parties, Mentone Girls’ Grammar will not have control over where, when, how or for how long that material may subsequently be used, published, broadcast, distributed or republished.
Attendance at this event requires consent to being filmed and photographed. If you or your daughter do not wish to be filmed or photographed under these conditions, please do not register for or attend this event.
Every person attending must be individually registered through Humanitix.
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
