Schools for Impact Grant Pitch Night, Hosted by Shore

You're invited to our first ever Schools for Impact Grant Pitch Night, proudly hosted by Shore.  Join us on Thursday 23 November to hear from five leading organisations, all working to address homelessness in Sydney, including:

Each organisation will pitch their program to you, and you'll have the opportunity to decide where your generous donation can have the greatest impact to address homelessness in Greater Sydney. 100% of your ticket price, together with any additional funds you may choose to donate will be directed towards addressing Homelessness in Sydney.

Students at Shore have had the opportunity to hear from Homelessness NSW, Impact 100 and learn about the five finalists prior to the event within their respective Houses and Tutor Groups.

Schools for Impact is built on the Impact100 Sydney giving circle model, whereby individual donors come together to make a financial contribution, pooling their funds to make a substantial gift to a charity of their choice.  Under this model, for the past six years, more than 100 individuals, families and businesses in Sydney have been donating at least $1000 each annually, creating a major grant of $100,000. Programs they have funded in the past address youth homelessness, juvenile justice recidivism rates and domestic violence to name a few.

Under the Schools for Impact program, we aim is to encourage and empower 1000+ students to fundraise and contribute $100 each to create a pool of $100,000 to gift to a local charities of their choosing.  Regardless of how much a student fundraises - they will all have the opportunity to think about which program they would like to fund, giving them the agency to decide where their donations go.  This event is open to all of our families, and we encourage you to attend with your children to support their learning and participation.

Tickets are only $25 per person, with all proceeds supporting our Schools for Impact program and addressing homelessness in Sydney.  Book today as numbers are limited.
