    Event description

We're excited to invite students from Shore to participate in the Schools for Impact Pitch Event, a unique opportunity to develop philanthropic skills and make a real difference in our community.

    How does it work?

Over the coming weeks, students will engage in a series of lessons exploring community needs, with a particular focus on employment pathways for vulnerable communities. They'll then apply this knowledge by fundraising within the school and broader community.

The programme culminates in our pitch event, where students will hear pitches from four outstanding charities making significant impacts in addressing social disadvantage in Sydney:

In a powerful exercise of youth-driven philanthropy, students will have the opportunity to invest in the organisation and program that resonates with them.

    What's in it for students?

This transformative event will allow students to:

    • Learn about local charities and pressing community needs
    • Develop fundraising skills and experience
    • Directly influence the allocation of substantial charitable funds
    • Enhance their leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities

    Why is this important?

This program is a world-first and offers an opportunity for students to:

    • Gain firsthand experience in community engagement and social responsibility
    • Develop a deeper understanding of social issues affecting Sydney
    • Learn about the operations of charitable organisations
    • Experience the empowerment of making a tangible difference in their community

By supporting your child's participation, you're helping to nurture the next generation of informed, engaged, and compassionate citizens.

Together, let's give young people the tools and knowledge to make a lasting impact in their community!

Ticket Information and Supporting Our Cause

Your student's ticket for this transformative event is $40, with 100% of ticket sales going directly into the pool of funds that will support our four outstanding charities. We believe this not only provides great value for the experience but also kickstarts your child's contribution to the cause.

For families who are able and interested in making a larger impact, there's an option to donate additional funds at checkout. We're proud to say that 100% of these donations also go into the charity pool. Every extra dollar helps us increase the support we can provide to these vital community organisations.

We're pleased to inform you that all tickets and additional donations are tax deductible. This means your contribution not only supports a great cause but also provides you with a tax benefit.

    Join the Experience

A limited number of places have been set aside for parents, carers, and teachers who are keen to participate alongside our students. This is a unique opportunity to engage directly in the philanthropic process, gain insights into the challenges facing our community, and witness firsthand the impact of youth-driven decision-making. By joining, you'll not only support your child's growth but also contribute your own perspective to this valuable initiative. These places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register your interest early.

    Logistical Information

All travel arrangements to and from the event will be overseen by Shore, ensuring your child's safety and timely arrival. Please note that students are required to bring their own packed lunch for the day.
