Event description

Join us for an exciting opportunity to enhance your communication skills and boost your chances of success in the upcoming 3MT competition!

Prepare for the challenge by participating in our Science Communication Training Workshop, where you'll gain invaluable skills and techniques to effectively convey your research to a broad audience.

We are thrilled to announce that Science Media Adviser, Marcus Strom, will lead the workshop, delving into the essentials of impactful science communication. Learn how to distill complex information and engage a non-specialist audience from an expert in the field.

Joining the discussion will be last year’s 3 Minute Thesis winner: Jordan Martenstyn and 1st runner-up, Alice Shirley. Gain insights into their 3MT experiences and learn how they approached this dynamic competition.

This event is open to all current Higher Degree Research (HDR) students within the Faculty of Science.

To secure your spot or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at science.hdrexperience@sydney.edu.au.

**Registration is essential as light catering will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes,

Graduate Research School, Faculty of Science
