Discover a decade-long research project set within the heart of Perth’s largest remaining bushland. Step into the world of fire ecology and learn how scientists are untangling the complex relationships between fire, weeds and biodiversity.

Join the Kings Park Science and bushland management teams on a guided walk through an active research site, where you’ll see firsthand how fire intervals and weed invasion influence the native plants living among us.

This rare opportunity invites you to experience the bushland as a living laboratory, gain insider insights into fire ecology research, and understand how science is guiding land management decisions that boost biodiversity while also reducing fire risk and supporting the safety of local communities in a fire-prone urban landscape.

Look for the Banksia Banner. Tour: 1 Hour -1.5 Hour.
