    Science Showcase: One night, infinite discoveries with WA Chief Scientist Prof. Peter Klinken

    Event description

    We invite parents and students to our special Science Week evening featuring WA Chief Scientist, Professor Peter Klinken who will speak on the amazing science projects occurring in Western Australia in the fields of conservation, cosmology, biomedical science and alternative energy innovations. Professor Klinken will provide valuable insight on the STEM careers students can aim for and where they’ll be located in Western Australia. The evening will continue with educational workshops for parents and students.

    This night of exploration is sure to ignite everyone’s inner scientist. Tickets are free but booking is essential!

    6:45 pm – 7:30pm: WA Chief Scientist, Professor Peter Klinken lecture in the PRIMARY FORUM including a Q&A session. 

    7:35 – 7:45pm: light refreshments in the Science building

    7:45 – 8:45pm: Parents and students rotate through three 20-minute workshops

    • AnimalArk Reptile education experience
    • The what, why and how of becoming a citizen scientist.
    • AI and Augmented reality in teaching and learning in Science.

    Please note tickets are limited to three per family to ensure everyone can enjoy this experience.
