30 minute Science Space Workshop building and learning about terrariums

Please note: we recommend ages 5-11 years of age as a guide. If your child is older than 11 and wishes to participate they are more than welcome! If your child is 3-4 years and parents wish to assist their child on the day that is also fine.

What is a terrarium?

A terrarium is a mini garden sealed inside a transparent container. Once set up, a terrarium will look after itself and recycle the water inside! As the plants and soil release water vapour, the water collects on the sides and lid of
the container and filters back down to the soil.
