January 2024 School Holiday Program - Science workshop for Primary Students
Event description
South Australian Government Schools presents Science Workshop, 'Wonders of the Natural World'.
Get to see and talk about fossils, minerals, crystals, and museum-quality replicas of dinosaurs, along with some real animal specimens (skulls, bones, and skins).
The program will also include a matching activity associated with the specimens and a hands-on session.
Finally, the event will wrap up with an exciting "treasure hunt", giving students an opportunity to collect three minerals/crystals and engage in a "fossil dig" to keep three fossils.
Schedule:
9.45am: Arrive at Rose Park Primary School
10.00am – 12.30pm: Science workshop
12.30pm – 1.30pm: Lunch will be provided.
In order for students to participate in the event, parents must complete the consent form available HERE
Parents must register to attend the workshop.
Parents are required to always remain with their children during the Science workshop.
Please ensure the provided consent form is completed and returned to education.isp@sa.gov.au by Friday 24 November 2023.
Parents are responsible for transport to and from Rose Park Primary School.
