SCLS Work In Progress Lunch
Event description
Join us as we commemorate the 2024 Suncoast Community Legal Service 'Work in Progress' progressive Lunch!
The 'WIP Lunch' by Suncoast Community Legal Service is a special occasion where legal professionals, referrers, and volunteers come together to celebrate the significant contributions made by SCLS to our local community and to raise funds for our on-going community lawyer position.
Held across three venues at the Wharf Mooloolaba, each serving a different course, attendees will be split into three groups and move between venues for a memorable day of connection and celebration.
The lunch raises much needed funds to support the crucial work that SCLS undertakes in our community. In particular, this year we are raising funds to ensure that our community lawyer program continues in the years to come.
Our community lawyer program offers an opportunity for a newly admitted law graduate to kick-start their career and gain valuable hands-on experience in our busy and diverse service. After the conclusion of the two-year program, the candidate is eligible to apply for their unrestricted practising certificate and enter the world of law with a range of practical skills under their belt. As a service, we are committed to continuing to offer this program but rely on the local legal profession’s support in making sure it remains for many years to come.
