Scotland and the origins of Christian Zionism
The Renfield Centre
Glasgow, United Kingdom
Description
Naomi Junnor Memorial Lecture
with Rev Alasdair Black
This lecture will shine some light on a little-known aspect of Zionism, which is widely understood as a mainly or exclusively Jewish movement, despite the fact that Christian Zionists today greatly outnumber their Jewish counterparts.
Alasdair Black will examine the early Christian roots of Zionism, which substantially predate the writings of Theodore Herzl, and show how Scotland played a significant role in developing the theology that underpinned Zionism.
Anyone who wants to fully understand Zionism will benefit from this talk.
