Facilitated by Alys McLennan - Clan MacLennan

About the Experience

You are invited to join Alys McLennan, descendant and active board member of Clan MacLennan, in meaningful connection through seanchaidh (storytelling). Join together and hear about the mythical and mystical tales of the ancient Scottish Highlands. Rooted in the old oral traditions seanchaidh is the traditional form of wisdom gathering and sharing. Drawing together legends, folktales, superstitions and sacred healing rituals, Alys’ storytelling will transport you across the seas to the Otherworld. Alys will echo the voices of those who gathered by hearth and fire for hundreds of years to pass on their wisdom, humour, and hard truths. So come along, as she facilitates a shared moment of deep listening- where stories are not just told… but handed down through generations and felt, remembered, and kept alive through voices and healing rituals anchored in ancient lore!

Why It Matters:

Storytelling and rituals are the essence of remembering the old ways. In the Highlands, these healing forms have always been a communal and sacred act — an honouring of our connection to nature, kin, community and the cycles that carry us through time. Seanchaidh tales and ceremonies offer a bridge between ancestry and embodiment, earth and spirit, sound and silence. When we gather to deeply listen, we remember what it means to be held and to move through life’s ups and downs in a rhythm with the land and each other.

Alys McLennan

@mayakosha_healing

Alys McLennan of Clan MacLennan is a healer, therapist, and ceremonialist who walks between the worlds of science and spirit. With roots in the ancient Highlands and formal training in psychology, counselling, and yoga therapy, she weaves modern trauma-informed practice with the earth-based wisdom of her Celtic lineage. Through her work with MayaKosha Healing and Immrama: Holistic Trauma Healing Centre, Alys guides others through deep processes of release and remembrance — helping them move from trauma and depletion into balance, empowerment, and reconnection with their true essence. Grounded in her ancestral path, she holds a space where the body becomes the temple, the breath becomes the prayer, and the soul finds its way home.
