Scraperboard Workshop with Linda Newton

Inspired by the recent John S Turner exhibition, Newstead Arts Hub has invited talented local artist Linda Newton to share her knowledge about scraperboard in this one-day workshop. 

Creating a scraperboard image is like drawing with a knife not a pencil on a specially prepared board. At the workshop you’ll experiment with different line-making techniques, create some samples and learn how to render an object or scene in black and white. 

By the end of the workshop, you will have completed a simple scraperboard to take home.

Materials fee: approx $25 to be paid at the workshop
