Scrappy Fabric Book Workshop
Event description
In this workshop, you'll select and put together fabric to form the pages of an embroidery book. Class includes pre-washed, pre-cut fabrics to complete the book, a needle, and an assortment of embroidery thread to get you started!
A finished Fabric Book could be filled with stitches to tell a whimsical story, or be used as a workbook to learn and practice new stitches. Explore a variety of beads and fabric scraps to embellish your book while you're in the studio. This workshop is both practical and imaginative!
Carol Taite, the volunteer educator teaching this workshop, is a local artist who has been sourcing from SCRAP for many years. Her personal creative projects include garment making and whimsical textile art.

SCRAP prioritizes access to affordable art materials and expression, so we’re offering tiered ticket options:
Independent Crafter ($12) - This ticket reflects the “true value” of the event and is geared toward those who will be creating solo or with assistance from an adult.
Assistant Crafter ($2) - This ticket is geared toward adults accompanying youth who won't be crafting independently. The cost of this ticket supports our programming, contributes to continued ticket accessibility, and ensures a space in the workshop for chaperones — thank you so much!
